BorderClash 11, NXN, and the cool of running

Running is not cool to many. It is a challenging activity for all. Often performed in adverse conditions, such as bitter cold, extreme hot, or more appropriate to the Northwest, rain. Runners dress in odd clothing, use products called “Body Glide” and their idea of fun on a Sunday morning is to journey 26.2 miles, sometimes to the point of exhaustion. 

By all accounts, to the outsider, running is a strange sport. At best we runners are perceived as eccentrics and to most we are downright odd. However, the insider knows that running is the coolest sport ever! There are many examples of this and we need not search far to find them. If we look at the past few weekends we can find events which confirm this fact: Nike’s BorderClash 11 and Nike Cross Nationals.
