2014 DyeStat Illinois Girls Athlete of the YearPublished by

Congratulations to Parker English of Evanston Township High School as the 2014 DyeStat Illinois Girls Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
English was the 3A State Champion in the 200 Meter Dash and 400 Meter Dash this season. Her time of 53.80 in the prelims is currently the eleventh fastest time in the nation. She graduates from Evanston with 13 state medals including individual titles that she earned this year along with state championships as part of the 800 and 1600 Meter Relays in her freshman season of 2011.
Parker will attend the University of Notre Dame beginning this fall.
Congratulations also go to Emma Spagnola of West Aurora High School, Janille Rogers of Minooka, and Amelia Glueck of Tremont who were finalists for this honor. More news
