EUGENE, Ore. - Trentavis Friday and Kendall Williams began their Sunday assault at the USATF Junior Championships by running away from the field in their respective 200-meter qualifying heats.

They finished it side-by-side on the podium at Historic Hayward Field doing the "Chop" after finishing 1-2 in the finals, assuring the incoming Florida State teammates will be wearing red, white and blue of the USA at the IAAF World Junior Championships later this month.

Friday put the disappointment of Saturday's false start in the 100-meter finals behind him - along with everyone else - by blasting out a wind-aided 20.03 performance in the final. Williams, who led until the final 60 meters, secured his second consecutive runner-up finish of the meet in 20.46.
