NHSCA USA SUPER-50 BOYS TEAM RANKINGS

*Record 1.000 2012 Christian Brothers Academy HS, NJ

1. 1.000 Christian Brothers Academy, Lincroft, NJ

-Perhaps the greatest prep team in the past 100 years, CBA has rewritten the record books. The first team to ever return five sub 9:15 3200 meter runners is proving this year is the best CBA team ever. Having already set the national record for team average over 5000 meters 15:08 @ Shore Conference Championships they dominated the NJ Group Championships with a Holmdel course record 16:03 team average...what makes this team so dominant? The 7-second 1-5 spread which may lead CBA to the national team title. Holmdel Times: Mike McClemens 16:00; Billy Bragg 16:00; Thomas Rooney 16:03; Francis Bogan 16:06; Jack Boyle 16:07.

   2. .9997 Southlake Carroll HS, Southlake, TX

-Last seasons team finished 2nd at nationals by 7-points, this seasons team is better but may still find themselves runner-up @ NXN. The Texas State Champions dominated the NXN South Championships with 15:30 team average for 5000 meters. The 18-second 1-4 spread is top notch but what hurts the Dragons is the 4-5 gap. NXN South Results: Joe Sansone 15:12.8; Nate Sullivan 15:18.1; Connor Hendrickson 15:18.2; Trevor Gilley 15:31.7; Eli Canal 16:10.2.

  3. .9980 American Fork HS, American Fork, UT

-We've been touting this team as the greatest all-time from Utah and much better than any of the prior national championship Mountain View teams. This teams true potential is unknown as the Cavemen are running in uncharted water. Winning the NXN Southwest Championships with a US#4 all-time 15:14 team average for 5000 meters and 22-second 1-5 spread has positioned this team as the darkhorse which may upset for the national title at NXN. NXN SW Results: Brayden Mclelland 15:03.60; Connor Mcmillan 15:09.30; Tyson Green 15:11.50; Zac Jacklin 15:21.80; Caleb Thompson 15:25.50.

  4. .9979 Highland Milford HS, Highland, MI

-Only two teams from Michigan have been better, 2000 US#3 Rockford HS, MI and 2006 US#1 Dexter HS, MI...this team is phenominal running a 15:34 team average to claim the Lower Peninsula state championship. State Results: Brian Kettle 15:07.3; Cody Snavely 15:16.7; Chris Housel 15:46.3; Matt Graves 15:47.6; Kevin Black 15:54.9.

  5. .9976 North Central HS, Spokane, WA

-Won the WIAA State Championships with 15:47 team average for 5000 meters without top runner Kai Wilmot, then won NXN Northwest without top runner Wilmot. This team was favored as a potential upset threat at NXN but without Wilmot and his status unknown it is unclear if that goal may become reality. Should Wilmot compete this team should push the top teams to the limit as a team superior to the 2008 National Champion team. NXN NW Results: Tanner Anderson 15:48.9; Keith Williams 15:53.1; Oliver Reed 16:13.1; Austen Frostad 16:16.6; Isaac Kitzan 16:21.6.

  6. .9975 Davis HS,  Kaysville, UT

-Last years NXN darling suprised everyone by finishing 3rd after finishing second at both Utah State and NXN Southwest to juggernaut American Fork HS, UT. This seasons team is better than last years team but may have arrived in a year containing the greatest collection of teams in one-season in US history. Can the Darts pull the surprise again? NXN SW Results: Alex Hedquist 15:17.20; Brayden Cromar 15:27.30; Skylar Williams 15:31.20; Preston Johnson 15:41.90; Sam Haws 16:10.70.

  7. .9970 Arcadia HS, Arcadia, CA

-The Apaches have been somewhat of a mystery having run an all-time best 15:26 team average @ the Apache Invitational and yet lose to North Central at Bob Firman and then rebound to win the CIF Southern Section Championships in a US#2 all-time team average over 3-miles 14:24! CIF SS Results: Estevan De La Rosa 14:01; Mitchell Pratt 14:14; Phillip Rocha 14:19; Mahmoud Moussa 14:41; Bryan Ngo 14:45.
