Wills, Thomas in Nike Cross Nationals this weekend

Mason’s Zack Wills and Michelle Thomas of Glen Este will compete in the Nike Cross Nationals in Portland, Ore., this weekend. The two had typically strong performances at the Midwest Regionals in Terre Haute, Ind., last month. Thomas ran a season-best 17:59 to finish third, while Wills dominated the boys’ field, finishing in 15:07. The two have a lot of momentum going into this weekend: Thomas is coming off a first-place finish in the Ohio Region 4, 8 and 12 meet and fourth-place finish in the state cross country meet; Wills finished first in both.
