was released last week for refusing to tell longtime PUHSD cross
country assistant Miguel Aparicio he couldn't be around Alhambra's
cross country team after Aparicio was arrested this summer. Aparicio
ran a stop sign, but he was arrested because he is an illegal immigrant. Alhambra,
a state title contender this year, was without a team last week after
its boys opted to not to run because their coaches were released. Borja
had yet to meet with his runners as of Tuesday morning, but he said the
team will likely finish out the season. Alhambra probably will run in
its district meet Wednesday. The Arizona Republic left a message for PUHSD district athletic director Moody Jackson at his office. "It's
still a bit difficult," Borja said. "I'm excited, but at the same time
it seems like nobody won. At the end of the day Miguel can't be a part
of this group. He is devastated. He feels everything that he's done for
