We invite athletes and coaches to join us in Santa Barbara, California on the campus of Westmont College for another edition of our World’s Greatest Track & Field Clinics featuring legendary coaches Tom Tellez and Harry Marra.
For the Coaches: This unique opportunity will focus on the sprints and throws as Coach Tellez and Marra will break down the components of developing the Track & Field athlete. The world’s most consistent performing duo of athletes, Decathlon Olympic Champion and World Record Holder, Ashton Eaton, along with two time World Championships silver medalist, Brianne Theisen-Eaton will serve as the athlete models as attending coaches view training sessions followed by question and answers. The afternoon session will feature a breakdown of blocks and acceleration mechanics with Coach Tom Tellez. Most noted for his work with nine time Olympic Gold Medalist, Carl Lewis, Coach Tom Tellez has guided the careers of some of the worlds most decorated sprints and jumps athletes.
For the Athletes: High school and middle school athletes are invited to attend the World’s Greatest Track & Field Clinic to work in their events ranging from sprints, hurdles, jumps, combined events and throws. Athletes will work with Team USA and Santa Barbara Track Club, Coach Josh Priester, in addition to a number of Team USA athletes and top USA performers who train in Santa Barbara year round. Athletes will have the opportunity to meet numerous Olympic athletes and attend an elite speakers panel to gain valuable insights into what it takes to perform at high levels in the sport. The clinic will also feature a college recruiting discussion which will aim to shed valuable insight into competing at the collegiate level of competition.
