Photography. Part art, part science.
I first met Bryan Gayoso at the Spanish River Invitational in 2012. As I'm always on the lookout for Pro's and Distance Junkie's with really great equipment, his camera and persona struck me as the consumate professional. Surely he must be shooting for the local newspaper or magazine with a camera lens and zoom which If I remember correctly, seemed like a real back breaker. After a few pleasantries I passed him our card as I found out he was there shooting images of his yougest daughter, Lauren, who was new to the sport and competing in XC for Wellington Christian last year and the other competitors, out of pure passion.
As it turns out, Bryan is a lot like the rest of the parents on any given course or track. His passion is capturing the moments that make time stand still; the raw emotion of athleticism and humanity, irregardless of the time or mark.
We're extremely thankful we've been able to display a lot of Bryan's work over the last year. This past weekend, Bryan was once again at the Spanish River Invitational where he captured 1200 photo's from the meet. You can see his Spanish River photo gallery at this link and while you're at it, check out the roughly 100 other photo's we're sure you'll like in his featured gallery here.
As Bryan points out, "my passion is sports... I never realized the training, preparation and dedication that goes into this sport. I have developed a new appreciation for this sport through the lens of a camera allowing others to view from my perspective".
