Winter Park runner Kira Soderstrom headed to USCPublished by
Senior Kira Soderstrom, captain of the Winter Park High cross country team, has committed to run track and cross country at the University of Southern California. She was part of the winning 4×800-meter relay at the 2010 Florida 4A state track and field championships, and also placed 7th in the 1600 meters. She was recently named to the Sentinel’s All-Central Florida Cross Country team and ran a career-best 18 minutes, 39 seconds at the 5K Foot Locker South meet, a week after finishing 15th at the 4A state championships.
