Valentin Soca of Uruguay, who competes collegiately for Cal Baptist, finished 15th in the World Championsihps 5,000 meters final in a time of 13:34.35. 

Ky Robinson of Australia was fourth in the men's 5,000 meters final on Sunday night at the World Athletics Championships in a time of 12:59.61 in Tokyo.

Sage Hurta-Klecker of the United States ran a personal best time of 1:55.89 to finish fifth in the women's 800 meters world final on Sunday at Japan National Stadium. That performance made her the third-fastest woman in American history. 

Nico Young of the U.S. was in the thick of the race until the very end on Sunday during the men's 5,000 meters final in Tokyo, finishing sixth in 13:00.07. 

Grant Fisher of the United States, who led the midlde part of Sunday's men's 5,000 meters, finished eighth in a time of 13:00.79. He was just two and a half seconds behind winner Cole Hocker. 

Georgia Hunter-Bell of Great Britain finished with the silver medal in the women's 800 meters on Sunday at the World Athletics Championships in a personal best time of 1:54.90. 

The United States team of Vernon Norwood, Jacory Patterson, Khaleb McRae and Rai Benjamin ran to a silver medal in the men's 4x400 relay on Sunday at Japan National Stadium, running a time of 2:57.83. 

Cole Hocker of the U.S. won a global gold medal for the second year in a row on Sunday, putting the disappointment of a disqualification in the 1,500 behind him and winning the 5,000 meters in a time of 12:58.30.
