Saugus captured its ninth girls state championship in 10 seasons with a 122-134 victory over Bella Vista in the Division II final at Woodward Park. Kaylee Thompson, Mariah Castillo, Ashley Heys, Sydney Suarez, Emma Bahr, Mackenna Park and Jacqueline Cascione helped Saugus move into a second-place tie for most state championships all-time with the Jesuit boys and McFarland boys. Only San Francisco University has more state titles than Saugus with 10.
