F-M girls win 4th national cross country championship

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The Fayetteville-Manlius Girls Cross Country returned home Sunday night after winning their fourth straight national title in Portland, Oregon on Saturday.
This is the fourth year in a row that the F-M Girls team has won the Nike Cross County National Championship, known as NXN. The Hornets were ranked number one in the nation before the event.
The team’s top five runners placed between 11th and 19th individually. The total time of the entire Hornet team over the 5k course added up to 1:31:46.20, beating the second place team by 3:38.
The team arrived at the airport around 8:45 p.m. Sunday.
The boys team finished 9th with an overall time of 1:21:22.90.
